My stay at Banana Beach Resort was a mix of good service and disappointing conditions. While the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home, the hotel itself has seen better days, with issues like the pool maintenance and the state of the rooms that left me wanting more.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean and nicely furnished, with a comfortable king-sized bed, though I was surprised to find it was two singles pushed together. The air conditioning was a bit problematic, which was an issue during my stay.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and personable, making my experience enjoyable. I felt like I was staying with friends, which was a definite highlight of my trip.
Location
8.0
The resort is ideally located on the beach and close to the airport, making it convenient for my travel plans. The lush grounds added a nice touch to the atmosphere, with birds singing everywhere.
Dining
7.0
While I didn't get to enjoy much dining as the restaurant was not open, the breakfast I had was quite good. However, previous experiences suggest that dining options might not always meet expectations.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were disappointing, especially the pools, which were green upon my arrival and remained that way for days. There was also a lack of lounge chairs available on the beach, which made it less enjoyable.

I had a mixed experience at Banana Beach Resort. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made my stay pleasant. however, the hotel itself showed signs of wear and tear that were hard to overlook. While the location was peaceful and away from the busyness of San Pedro, some amenities, like the pools, left much to be desired. Overall, it felt like a place that could use some serious attention.

Rooms
7.0
The room was nice and clean, well-furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed and good A/C. I appreciated the beautiful balcony view of the beach, but the bathroom had broken basin tiles and the microwave was dated.
Service
9.0
All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Housekeeping and the front desk made sure all my needs were met, and they remembered me from previous visits, which was a nice touch.
Location
8.0
Banana Beach is conveniently located; it’s close to the airport and just a walk away from town. The surroundings were lush, filled with the sounds of birds, which I found very peaceful. just what I needed on vacation.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were a bit subpar. The complimentary breakfast was nice, but it didn't include bacon, which was disappointing. No substitutions were allowed either, which felt a bit restrictive.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking. I noticed both pools were cloudy during my stay, which wasn’t very inviting. There were mismatched, old chairs around the pool area, and some basic maintenance was definitely needed to bring back the charm.

During my recent stay at Banana Beach Resort, I encountered a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were comfortable with a lovely beach view, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the service was often slow, and the resort's condition seemed to be deteriorating, impacting the overall experience. I appreciated the lush surroundings and the friendly atmosphere, but I left feeling disappointed by some aspects.

The staff were nice and welcoming, but the service was inconsistently slow, especially during meal times.
Location

The resort is located on the beach and is quiet, but it felt a bit far from town, which could be inconvenient.
Dining

Dining was a mixed bag; while the breakfast had potential, the food quality was disappointing overall.

While the grounds were lush, many facilities, like the pools, were not well maintained, which detracted from my experience.

My stay at Banana Beach Resort was a mixed bag. the location is lovely with lush grounds and friendly staff, but the hotel itself seems to be in need of some serious updates. While I appreciated the included breakfast and the general ambiance, the aging facilities were disappointing. Overall, it's a great economic option for exploring San Pedro if you can overlook some of the wear and tear.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, but the furnishings were outdated and showing signs of wear. I dealt with a leaking roof and some rust issues, which was frustrating. The kitchen was fully equipped, and I loved the balcony view of the beach.
Service
10.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. they made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Anna at the front desk was especially helpful, explaining everything I needed to know about the resort.
Location

Banana Beach is perfectly situated close to town and offers a peaceful atmosphere with birds singing everywhere. it was great to explore the area on a rented golf cart, too.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite good. made for a great start to my mornings. I appreciated the variety on offer, but the dinner options were a bit pricey and not what I was looking for in terms of local cuisine.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel itself needs some significant maintenance. both pools were green and unattractive for several days, which was a letdown. Although there was a nice pier for diving, other aspects like the beach area seemed less than ideal.

I visited Banana Beach Resort recently and had mixed feelings about my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. but the resort itself fell short in several areas. The room was spacious but had issues with cleanliness and maintenance, and the beach was unpleasant due to sargassum seaweed that wasn't cleaned up. I enjoyed the dining experience, but the overall experience was marred by several negative aspects.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious with a full kitchen and a king-sized bed, though cleanliness was lacking with rusted fixtures and ants present.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and courteous, making check-in smooth and enjoyable. but the overall service was overshadowed by hotel issues.
Location
5.0
The resort is located on the beach, which is quiet. yet it was farther from town than expected, necessitating transportation.
Dining
6.0
Dining at the resort was enjoyable with friendly staff and decent food. but it didn't make up for the shortcomings elsewhere.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities had potential but were mostly disappointing; the main pool was often closed and the beach area had a severe sargassum issue.
